The Nero d’Avola variety has its aged roots in the city of Avola close to Siracusa. It gets unique traits if farmed within the area of red sandy plains at the foothills of the Hyblaean Mountains overwhelmed by the sea breeze. In this region of Sicily, it reaches the highest expression due to its strong character.
We’ve honored the most representative Sicilian vine with our Melovivo. The used grapes are hand-picked between September and October and quickly worked. It’s gotten a deep red coloured wine, it stands up for a pleasant experience that begins by softly embracing the palate before unleashing a strong and tasty aroma.
