THE LAND OF CERASUOLO DI VITTORIA

CENTURIES TALE

They stand on a crystalline sea, and until it descend, the gentle profiles of the Iblei highlands. It is in this strip of land in the southernmost province of Sicily that is located Tenuta Bonincontro.

OUR TERRITORY

NATURE AND HUMAN UNIQUE BLEND

All around there is a unique and unrepeatable territory: an intrigue of natural, archaeological, architectural and historical beauties of world importance, so much so as to appear on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. Here the late Baroque churches and palaces of Ragusa Ibla, Modica, Comiso and Scicli or the Art Nouveau buildings of Vittoria are not only to witness the splendor of a noble past, but also the industriousness and genius of a people who never let themselves be overwhelmed either by foreign dominations or by the nature that upset this corner of Sicily with the earthquake of 1693.

OLD CENTURIES HISTORY

From this plain, characterized by a sweet and harsh countryside together – where wide expanses of crops and pastures are furrowed by the white of the dry stone walls, where the carob and olive trees share the task of offering shade and coolness to the ancient farms, where the work and rest of man are still marked by the clock of tradition – come to life our wines, children of the great wine tradition today identified in the wine route of Cerasuolo di Vittoria.
